THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (April 13, 2010) – Maritime senior Meagan Golden (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant) (Point Pleasant, N.J.) on Monday was named to the Skyline Conference women's lacrosse weekly honor roll for her performances in the Privateers' three games last week. The senior goalie was stellar in net despite three losses to Ramapo, Rhode Island College and Montclair State.
Golden, who is a tri-captain on this year's squad, compiled 16 saves for Maritime on the week. She started the week by stopping seven shots at Ramapo and then came out in Providence to make four saves against R.I.C. At home on Saturday, Golden tallied five saves. The Point Pleasant High alum currently ranks fifth in the Skyline with 6.88 saves per game.
Sophomore tri-captain Catherine Brady (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) (Holbrook, N.Y.) also ranks among the conference leaders, as her 3.25 draw controls per game currently puts her in third.

The Privateers (1-7, 0-3 Skyline) return to action on Wednesday, April 14, when they travel to Union, N.J., to take on Skyline-opponent Kean University (4-7, 2-2 Skyline). First draw against the Cougars is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Kean Alumni Stadium.
