THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (March 23, 2010) – The Skyline Conference announced on Monday that sophomore tri-captain Catherine Brady (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) (Holbrook, N.Y.) was named to the women's lacrosse weekly honor roll for her efforts in the Privateers' two games this past weekend in Upstate New York against Cazenovia College and Alfred University.
In the 19-13 loss to Cazenovia on Saturday, Brady recorded a hat trick by scoring three first half goals. She also picked up two assists on the day to finish with five points, while registering four draw controls and two ground balls. On Sunday at Alfred, the sophomore picked up a team-high six ground balls and added another assist for a Privateer-high three on the season, while maintaining one draw control.
Brady ranks fourth in the conference with 4.0 draw controls per game, behind third-ranked teammate sophomore Kristen Saporito (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) (Rocky Point, N.Y.) who has 5.0 per game. Senior Heather Christiansen (Baldwin, N.Y./Baldwin) (Baldwin, N.Y.) currently leads the Skyline with 5.33 goals per game, while her 5.33 points per game is good for third and her 4.00 groundballs per game rank fourth. In net, senior Meagan Golden (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant) (Point Pleasant, N.J.) ranks fifth in the conference with a 13.35 goals against average.
As a team, Maritime sits third in the Skyline with 27.67 ground balls per game, fifth with an average 12.33 goals per game and fifth with an average of 13.35 goals against.

The Privateers return to action Friday night, March 26, when they open the Skyline slate with a home game against Farmingdale State. First draw is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Reinhart Field.
