Game Day: Men’s Hoops Hosts NYU Thursday Night At 7 p.m. At Riesenberg Gym

THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Dec. 30, 2010) – The Maritime men's basketball team will play host to the Violets of New York University tonight in the last game before the New Year. Game time between the Privateers and NYU is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Riesenberg Hall Gymnasium.

Hurley Has A Chance To Score His 1,000th Point Tonight

On Thursday night, senior Giovanni Hurley (Brooklyn, N.Y./Middle College High) (Brooklyn, N.Y./Middle College High) has a good chance to become the 11th player in Maritime basketball program history to score 1,000 points. The forward currently has 977 points and sits just 23 points away from the milestone. The list (followed by the years achieved) includes Kurt Axelsson (1961), Bob Willman (1978), Bill Munch (1981),  Mike Burke (1986), Michael Cutts (1987), Tommy Brown (1994), Tim Harkins (1995), Drew McCarthy (1996), Michael Nook (1999) and Tim Dougherty (2009).
