THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Nov. 2, 2010) – Maritime junior Jason Tursi (Farmingdale, N.Y./Plainedge) (Farmingville, N.Y./Plainedge) was named to the Skyline Conference men's soccer weekly honor roll, announced by the conference on Monday. The honor comes after Tursi led the Privateers to a 1-1 record last week against Coast Guard (1-0 OT Loss) on Monday and Mount St. Vincent (4-0 Win) on Thursday.

Tursi scored two goals against the Dolphins in the regular season finale. The first goal came on a penalty kick in the 7th minute to give Maritime a 1-0 lead. The 5-9, 160-pounder found the back of the net again in the 31st minute when he took a pass from junior Kevin Connolly (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley) (Warwick, N.Y. / Warwick Valley) from the right wing and beat the Mount St. Vincent keeper to the right post.

The Eagles defeated No. 4 seed Sage, 5-2, in Albany, N.Y., in the opening round of the tournament this past Saturday to advance to the semifinals. In the only meeting between Maritime and St. Joseph's this season, the Privateers came out victorious, 3-1, on the road on Sept. 29.
