The Privateers took benefitted from points off turnovers – outscoring the Blue Knights 39-11 – as well as points in the paint, 44-28.

With the win, the Maritime basketball team picked up its 30th Skyline victory since head coach Jody King and his staff took over in 2007-08. That win triples the Privateers' conference win total from the previous six years before (2001-02 to 2006-07).

King and his squad will quickly return to action for the season's only Monday night game, when the Privateers travel to face non-conference opponent Baruch on Feb. 1. Tipoff against the Bearcats is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Baruch's ARC Arena.
