NEWBURGH, N.Y. (Oct. 3, 2009) – The Maritime men's soccer team lost to Mount Saint Mary, 1-0, Saturday in Skyline Conference action. With the loss, the Privateers fall to 6-4 (1-2 Skyline), while the Blue Knights improve to 5-4-1 overall (1-2 Skyline).

 

Mount Saint Mary struck early with a goal in the fifth minute, that would stand to be the game-winner. Despite outshooting the Blue Knights, 15-12, Maritime was unable to find the back of the net as Mount Saint Mary keeper Paul Aries recorded four saves to preserve the shutout victory.

 

The Privateers return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 6, when they play host to St. Joseph's-LI at Reinhart Field. The game is set to get underway at 7 p.m.
