NEW LONDON, Conn. (Oct. 26, 2009) – The Maritime men's soccer team lost on the road to Coast Guard, 3-0, on Monday in the Privateers' season-finale. With the loss, Maritime ends the regular season with a 10-6-1 mark, while the Bears improve to 7-9 with the win.

 

The Privateers were a little undermanned, with just four substitutes to Coast Guard's eight, and were outshot 19-5 in the match. In net, junior Harris Papson (Flushing, N.Y./Francis Lewis) made four saves for Maritime.

 

The men's soccer team will now wait to find out its seeding in the 2009 Skyline Conference Championships, which begin on Tuesday, Nov. 2. The Privateers currently sit in third place with 13 points, just one point ahead of Old Westbury and Bard, who both have one conference game remaining.
