THROGGS NECK, NY – Sophomore outfielder Harry Leipold (Thornwood, NJ) of the Maritime College baseball team has received another honor for his performance in the Privateers' doubleheader sweep of Old Westbury on Sunday.  One day after being named Skyline Conference Co-Player of the Week, he was selected to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week.

Leipold went a combined 6-for-8 with six runs scored and eight RBIs in the two games.  He was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and four RBIs in the first game, a 14-4 Maritime win.  Leipold had an RBI hit in each of the first two innings before adding a two-run double (his second of the game) in the fourth.  Then in Game 2, he came to the plate seven times and reached base in six of them.  Leipold started 3-for-3 with three walks before hitting a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning.  He belted a two-run triple in the contest and finished with four RBIs, four runs scored and a stolen base in the 18-7 victory.

The D3baseball.com Team of the Week is now in its 14^th season recognizing the top performers at each position in Division III baseball during the previous week.  This week's selections were based on games played from March 24-30.  Leipold is the second Privateer this season to earn a spot on the Team of the Week.  David Granucci (Medford, NY) was honored on March 12.

After playing eight straight away from Reinhart Baseball Field, Maritime (9-10, 2-0 Skyline) is scheduled to return home on Saturday for a 10:30 a.m. doubleheader with Manhattanville (12-8, 2-2 Skyline).
