NEW YORK - The Skyline Conference announced Monday afternoon that
Matt DeMeo (Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) earned Offensive Player of the Week honors following his impressive week, which included him breaking the program record for career goals in just the second game of his junior campaign.
In the Privateers home opener this past Wednesday, DeMeo needed just two goals to become the program's all-time leading goal scorer and he wasted no time reaching the mark as he scored the first two goals of the game. The Sayville, NY native went on to score seven goals in the contest and add three assists for a 10-point performance, which is good enough for second all-time in a single game. DeMeo capped off the week with one goal and two assists in a loss to SUNY Cortland on Saturday.
DeMeo and the Privateers return to action against another SUNYAC opponent on Wednesday when they travel to SUNY Oneonta for a 4 p.m. start. To see the full 2020 schedule
