Robert Wheeler (Staten Island, N.Y. / Susan E. Wagner) forced a fumble which gave the Privateers offense a chance to score in the Maine red zone. The Privateers capitalized on this opportunity by way of an eight yard touchdown run by senior
Thomas Wright ( Wantagh, N.Y. / Massapequa) to give Maritime their first touchdown of the young 2018 season and a 10-0 lead. The Privateers scored 21 consecutive points before Maine's lone points in the 4

Brandonn Drumgole (Mt. Sinai, N.Y. / Mt. Sinai) andÂ
Christian Castle (Felton, Pa. / Red Lion) both had 80 plus receiving yards on the afternoon. Along with his nine yard touchdown catch, Drumgole averaged 11.1 yards per catch. Castle's 80 yards came on ten catches with an average of eight yards per catch. Senior
Curtis Smith (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Boys and Girls) also caught a 12 yard touchdown pass which came in the 4
th quarter. On the ground, The Privateers totaled 180 rushing yards. Leading the charge was junior
Kahlil Lewin (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Erasmus Hall) who amassed over 100 total yards of offense in his Maritime debut. Along with his 78 rushing yards, Lewin also caught for 32 yards, including a key 2
nd and 21 catch for 20 yards that was instrumental in Maritime securing a touchdown later in the possession. Along with Lewin; junior

Nicholas Morman ( Covington, La. / Notrhlake Christian) all ran for 20 plus yards. Patakos was stellar in the red zone for the Privateers as he had two rushing TDs. The Privateers front line led by seniors
Dean Lynch (Rockville Centre, N.Y. / Oceanside) and
Nicholas Acevedo (Woodside, N.Y. / Holy Cross) were the catalyst to the 400 plus yards of offense. The O-line slowed down the Mariners defense all game by only allowing three sacks for a total of three yards. Due to the stellar performance, the Mariners defense registered zero turnovers.
