SHELTON, Conn. (March 1, 2014) - The Maritime hockey team lost its first round matchup against #2-seed Fairfield by the score of 3-1 Saturday night in the Emperor's Cup Playoffs at the SportsCenter of Connecticut. The loss ends the Privateers' season with a 13-6-2 record.

Fairfield has moved on to the Finals and will face top-seeded Farmingdale State, which has already checked its ticket to the ACHA Finals.
