THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Oct. 25, 2013) – The Maritime women's volleyball team will play three matches in the next two days, travelling to Wilkes-Barre, Pa., on Friday to play non-conference opponent King's College at 7 p.m., before competing in a Skyline tri-match on Saturday at Old Westbury against the Panthers (10 a.m.) and St. Joseph's (noon).

        Friday's meeting will be the first between the Privateers and the Monarchs.
 
Inside The Series With Old Westbury
        The two teams have met 12 times over the past nine years and the Panthers have won all of the matches. Last year, the teams met on Sept. 22 in a neutral site match at Farmingdale St. Old Westbury won in straight sets, 25-6,25-9,25-12.

        The Privateers have played St. Joseph's 10 times over the past nine years and the Golden Eagles own the series advantage. The teams' last meeting was on Oct. 20, 2012, when Maritime hosted SJC and the Eagles came away with a straight-set victory, 25-13, 25-11, 25-8.
