THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Oct. 13, 2013) – The Maritime women's volleyball team competed in two road tri-matches this past weekend at Bard College on Saturday and at Sage College on Sunday. The Privateers lost all four matches against Sarah Lawrence, Bard, Sage and Yeshiva.

Senior
Alyssa Pourmonir (Pittston, Pa./Pittston Area ) (Pittston, Pa./Pittston Area) had a team-high 60 digs over the four matches (4.62 per set), while junior
Charlotte Acklin (Lewes, Del./West Broward (Fla.)) (Lewes, Del./West Broward) recorded a team-high 24 kills on the weekend to go along with 22 digs and seven service aces. Acklin led the team with 31 points over the two days. Junior
Christine McCormak (Goshen, N.Y./Goshen) registered 46 assists for Maritime.

The Privateers return to action this Wednesday, Oct. 16, for a rare, mid-week tri-match at FDU-Florham in Madison, N.J. Maritime will face Delaware Valley at 6 p.m. before taking on the host Devils at 8 p.m.
