THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Jan. 18, 2013) – The Maritime hockey team will play three important games this weekend, including two Met Hockey Conference contests. The Privateers are currently riding a 13-game winning streak and boast a 14-1 overall record, including a perfect 8-0 mark in MCHC play.

The first game of the weekend will be against arch-rival Kings Point on Friday night. The puck will drop at 10:15 p.m. at the Parkwood Sports Complex in Great Neck, Long Island, N.Y. Both the Privateers and the Mariners are undefeated in conference play, as KP holds a 7-0 record against MCHC opponents.

Friday night's contest will be the first hockey game to be streamed in program history. The game will broadcast live on Maritime Athletics USTREAM Page.         The Privateers will be right back in action on Saturday night against the 2012 Met Hockey Champion, the County College of Morris. Maritime played C.C.M. on the road back on Nov. 18 and came out on top by the narrow score of 4-3. Saturday's game will also be played at Parkwood and will begin at 9:15 p.m.

The last game of the weekend will be an important ACHA Atlantic Region matchup against the #2-ranked team regionally, Farmingdale State. The #8-ranked Privateers defeated the Rams earlier in the season, 3-2 in overtime back on Dec. 7 at Parkwood. The two teams will square off again this Sunday, Jan. 20, at 2 p.m. at the Freeport Recreational Center in Freeport, Long Island, N.Y.
