THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Nov. 12, 2012) – The Maritime hockey team won both Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference games over the weekend, 12-0, over Saint Thomas Aquinas on Friday night and 16-1, over Suffolk Community College on Saturday night. The victories improve the Privateers to an 8-1 overall record, including a 5-0 mark in MCHC play.
Sophomore
Vinny Monfredo (Shirley, N.Y./William Floyd) (Shirley, N.Y./William Floyd) led Maritime with 14 points over the two games, recording one goal and five assists against STAC and three goals and five assists against Suffolk. Classmate
Tanner McWain (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) was second on the squad with 11 points (4G and 7A).

Connor Graham (Midlothian, Texas/Midlothian Senior) (Midlothian, Texas/Midlothian Senior) earned the victory on Friday night against Saint Thomas Aquinas. He made 15 saves to record the shutout. On Saturday, sophomore

The Privateers are back in action this weekend. They have three games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Friday is at 9:15 p.m. at New Paltz up at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Saturday is home against the University of Scranton at 7 p.m. at the Parkwood Sports Complex. And Sunday is on the road at the County College of Morris at 6:15 p.m. at the Mennen Sports Arena in Morristown, N.J.
