        ALBANY, N.Y. (Oct. 6, 2012) – The Maritime women's volleyball team travelled up to the state's capital on Saturday to take part in a Skyline Conference Tri-Match at Sage. The Privateers dropped both matches in straight sets, the first to the host Gators, 25-8, 25-9 and 25-6, and then the second to the Jays, 25-5, 25-16 and 25-10.
 
        Junior-transfer Cecilie Hammer (Stavanger, Norway/Randaberg VGS/ University of Vestfold) (Stavanger, Norway/Randaberg VGS/University of Vestfold) and sophomore Tessa Jardine (Valley Stream, N.Y./Waterford) (Valley Stream, N.Y./Waterford) both led the team with five kills, apiece. Hammer had a team-high 12 digs, while senior Jerrica Romero (Bronx, N.Y./Herbert H Lehman) (Bronx, N.Y./Lehman) recorded 11 digs.
 
        The Privateers are back in action on Tuesday, when they travel up to Newburgh, N.Y., to take on Skyline opponent Mount St. Mary. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
