        PURCHASE, N.Y. (Oct. 27, 2012) – The Maritime women's volleyball team travelled up to Westchester County for a non-conference match against Manhattanville College in the 2012 season-finale on Saturday. The Privateers lost to the Valiants in straight sets, 25-2, 25-6 and 25-9.
 
        Junior Cecilie Hammer (Stavanger, Norway/Randaberg VGS/ University of Vestfold) (Stavanger, Norway/Randaberg VGS/ University of Vestfold) tallied a team-high two kills, while sophomore Sydney Carella (Greenville, N.Y./Greenville) (Greenville, N.Y./Greenville) equaled the match-high with nine digs. Senior Jerrica Romero (Bronx, N.Y./Herbert H Lehman) (Bronx, N.Y./Lehman) recorded two assists and six digs in her final collegiate match.
 
        For Manhattanville, junior Susy Camaj led all players with 16 kills, while senior Veronica Ferreiras picked up 19 assists. Sophomore Alyssa Casino matched Carella with nine digs.
 
        In defeat, the Privateers end the 2012 season with a 1-21 overall record, including a 1-8 mark in Skyline action, while the Valiants improve to 10-22.
