THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Oct. 19, 2012) – The Maritime women's volleyball team will be taking part in the
DIG PINK fundraising event to support
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Saturday when the squad will host a Skyline Conference Tri-Match at the Riesenberg Hall Gymnasium. The first match of the day is scheduled for 11 a.m.
The Privateers will be wearing pink tie-dyed shirts during warm up and there will be a number of other activities going on at Riesenberg before, during and after the three matches on the court. The Maritime Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be assisting in a bake sale and there will also be tie-dyed t-shirts for sale as well.

The Maritime volleyball team is also encouraging fans that will be attending tomorrow's Tri-Match to wear pink. First match of the day will see the Privateers take on Mount St. Vincent at 11 a.m., followed by the Dolphins taking on St. Joseph's at 1 p.m. The final match of the day will feature Maritime against St. Joe's.
Prior to the first match, there will be a very special Senior Day Ceremony to honor the Privateers' lone graduating senior,
