Women’s Soccer Loses To Farmingdale St. Thursday Night At Home

        THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Oct. 18, 2012) – The Maritime women's soccer team hosted Skyline-opponent Farmingdale St. Thursday night at Reinhart Field and lost to the Rams by the score of 11-0. The Privateers fall to 0-17 (0-8 Skyline) on the season, while FSC improves to 10-7 (5-2 Skyline).
 
        Farmingdale recorded 49 shots on the night to Maritime's one. Freshman Meghin Paczkowski (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) was busy making a total of 14 saves. Sophomore Melanie Lopez (Yonkers, N.Y./Saunders Trades & Technical) (Yonkers, N.Y./Saunders Trades & Technical) had the only shot for the Privateers, which went just wide of the net.
 
        For the Rams, senior Carly Schneider recorded a hat trick, while classmate Theresa Martorano had two goals and two assists. Six other players had a goal for Farmingdale. Between the posts, freshman Breanna Blair started the game and senior Stacy Rao replaced her at halftime for the combined shutout.
 
        The Privateers return to action on Sunday, Oct. 21, when they will host former Skyline Conference-foe Yeshiva University. Kickoff against the Maccabees is scheduled for noon at Reinhart Field. Prior to the game, the Maritime women's soccer program will honor its two seniors, Liz Dragomir (Rye Brook, N.Y./School of the Holy Child) (Rye Brook, N.Y./School of the Holy Child) and Molly Divens (Beltsville, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) (Beltsville, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt).
