Game Day: Privateers Play Farmingdale State In Penultimate Home Contest

THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Feb. 12, 2011) – The Maritime men's basketball team returns to action tonight as it plays host to Skyline Conference rival Farmingdale State. The game will begin at 2 p.m. at the Riesenberg Hall Gymnasium.

Inside The Series

            In the first meeting of the season the Privateers took home the win when they beat the Rams, 72-71, at the Walter A. Lynch Sports Center in Farmingdale, N.Y. In that game, the Privateers were led by senior Giovanni Hurley (Brooklyn, N.Y./Middle College High) (Brooklyn, N.Y./Middle College High)  who ended the night with 24 points and 13 rebounds, while also grabbing four steals and handing two assists.

            During 2009-10, the teams split the season series. On Feb. 6, 2010, the Privateers came out on top, 84-63, at Riesenberg while the Rams won the game played at their campus, 59-58, on Feb. 16, 2010.
