THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Oct. 7, 2011) – The Maritime women's volleyball team will travel to Riverdale, N.Y., on Saturday to take on Skyline opponents Mount Saint Vincent and Saint Joseph's. The first serve against the host Dolphins will be at 9 a.m. and then the Privateers take on the Golden Eagles at 11 a.m. or 30 minutes after the first match.
 
Inside The Series
        The Maritime women's volleyball team has played each team once a season since 2004. Each match has been a loss for the Privateers. Last year, Maritime competed in the Mount Saint Vincent Tri-Match taking on both Mount Saint Vincent and Saint Joseph's.
 
        The Privateers were led by then-sophomore Jerrica Romero (Bronx, N.Y./Herbert H Lehman) (Bronx, N.Y./Lehman), throughout the match-ups, who had a team-best nine kills and six blocks, while also picking up 18 digs. Then-freshman Natalia Martinez-Colon (Allentown, Pa./William Allen ) (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) registered 16 digs over the match-ups as well.
