THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Jan. 29, 2011) – The Maritime hockey team returns to action tonight, when they play host to Metropolitan Hockey Conference rival St. Thomas Aquinas. The puck is scheduled to drop at 8:45 p.m. at the Parkwood Sports Complex in Great Neck, N.Y.
Inside The Series
Maritime will be looking for their first win against the Spartans recent history. During the 2009-10 season, St. Thomas swept the series against the Privateers. On Oct. 31, 2009, the Spartans took home a 4-1 victory at Parwood. The second game was played at the Palisades Center and finished with a score of 7-6 on Feb. 12, 2010. During the 2008-09, St. Thomas defeated Maritime, 4-3, in a shootout on Oct. 24, 2008, at the Palisades Mall Rink.
