Nine Different Goal Scorers Lead Hockey To 11-3 Rout Over Bryn Athyn

THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Jan. 25, 2011) – On Sunday night, the Maritime hockey team picked up its seventh-straight victory when the Privateers defeated Byrn Athyn College, 11-3, on the road in Pennsylvania. The win improves Maritime's record to 13-7 overall on the season, while the Lions fall to 1-9.

Nine different players scored for the Privateers, led by junior Greg Dolan (Floral Park, N.Y./St. Mary's) (Floral Park, N.Y./St. Mary's) and freshman Steven Altini (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Joseph By the Sea), who both tallied two goals. Freshman Dillon Dolansky (Monroe, N.Y./John S. Burke Catholic) (Monroe, N.Y./John S. Burke Catholic) picked up a game-high three points with two assists and a power play goal in the third period, the first of his career. Also scoring for the first time was junior Trey Jackson (Pawling, N.Y./Amherst Central), when he lit the lamp in the first period. Sophomore goalie D.J. Gennarelli (Bohemia, N.Y./Connetquot) (Bohemia, N.Y./Leon M Goldstein H.S. for Science) nabbed his first collegiate victory making 27 saves.

Maritime returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 29, when the squad plays host to Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference foe St. Thomas. The puck drops at 8:45 p.m. at the Parkwood Sports Complex in Great Neck, Long Island, N.Y.
