THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Jan. 18, 2011) – The Maritime basketball team plays host to the Bard Raptors tonight, in a Skyline Conference showdown beginning at 7 p.m. at the Riesenberg Hall Gymnasium.
Inside The Series
The two teams met earlier this season up in Annandale-On-Hudson, N.Y., with the Privateers coming out on top by the score of 66-65. Junior guard Mike McSloy (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) buried the game-winning jumper with six seconds to play. Maritime was led in scoring by junior Sam Porte (Harlem, N.Y./H.S. for Math, Science & Engineering) (Harlem, N.Y./H.S. for Math, Science & Engineering), who scored 16 off the bench.
During the 2009-10 campaign, the Privateers won both meetings. The first, 81-54, was in Throggs Neck on Dec. 3, 2009. The second, 81-67, was up at Bard on Jan. 27, 2010.
