THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Jan. 14, 2011) – The Maritime hockey team returns to action tonight when the squad plays host to the New Jersey Institute of Technology in non-conference action. The puck is scheduled to drop at 10:15 p.m. at the Parkwood Sports Complex in Great Neck, N.Y.
Inside The Series
This will be the second meeting between Maritime and NJIT this season. On Sept. 26, 2010, the Highlanders came out on top of the Privateers by a final score of 7-4. Freshman Robert Amos led NJIT with three goals, while Maritime was led by sophomore James McManus (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River) (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River) and freshman Patrick Masterman (Norfolk, Va./Hargrave Military Academy) (Norfolk, Va./Hargrave Military Academy), who registered two points each.
