THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Sept. 24, 2010) – The Maritime hockey team will open the 2010-11 season tomorrow night, Saturday, Sept. 25, when the squad will play host to the Pride of Hofstra University. Game time is scheduled 7:15 p.m. at the Parkwood Sports Complex in Great Neck, N.Y.

The game is part of the Homecoming Weekend festivities at Maritime College this weekend. More information on what will be going on around the school can be found by clicking here.

The Privateers will be looking to improve upon their 6-11 record during the 2009-10 season, including a 5-11 mark in Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference action. The team will once again make its home at the Parkwood Sports Complex, hosting 11 games there this season.

Maritime will return to the ice again on Sunday, Sept. 26, when the squad will travel to the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., to take on NJIT at 5:15 p.m.
