THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (July 30, 2010) – As the football team's August 12 report date rapidly approaches, the coaching staff has been finalized for the 2010 campaign. The offseason provided minimal staff changes for the Privateers which is a key factor in the continued development of the program and players. The only staff loss came as running backs coach, Kris Bisci, graduated with a master's degree from Maritime College and elected to take a job in the Maritime industry.

  

Replacing Bisci will be 2010 RPI graduate and slot receiver Brian Farrington. “We recruited Brian heavily in 2006, as he was a State Champion option quarterback at Dobbs Ferry High School. We had to wait a while for him but we are happy to have him with us now and he will do a great job with our running backs,” commented head coach Clayton Kendrick-Holmes. Coach Farrington will pursue a graduate degree and his primary job on campus will be directing the intramurals program for Student Life.

 

Also joining the staff will be Robert Hickson, who is currently a graduate student in Athletic Administration at St. Johns University. In addition to assisting Coach Piascik with the defensive backs, Coach Hickson will handle the game and practice video responsibilities. “Rob actually started coaching with us in the spring and has a head start on recruiting with all the camps and clinics he has worked over the summer. He has put in a lot of time learning the video system and will be a great addition to our staff,” stated Kendrick-Holmes.

 

“We have as hard working and loyal staff as anywhere in the country at Maritime College. They are coaching professionals who balance other jobs and responsibilities to make this team successful and I'm indebted to them and their families for their commitment and sacrifice. We are all looking forward to the 2010 season,” continued Coach Kendrick-Holmes.
