THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Feb. 3, 2010) – Maritime basketball third-year head coach Jody King and junior-forward Giovanni Hurley (Brooklyn, N.Y./Middle College High) will be appearing live on BRONXNET TV (Cablevision Channel 67 in the Bronx) Wednesday morning as guests on the network's show, OPEN.

 

The show will air at 10 a.m. and will be replayed on tape at night at 10 p.m. It can also be viewed online shortly after the interviews at the following site: www.bronxnet.org/c_program/open/open.htm.

 

OPEN is shot live from BRONXNET's studios and invites viewers to participate through phone or email. The show builds on the station's mission to provide useful information to the Bronx public, while helping young adults develop media careers.

 

The Privateers basketball team is in the midst of its best season under King. Maritime currently has a 13-4 overall record, with a 10-3 mark in Skyline Conference action, and have picked up big victories over the Skyline's first-place Old Westbury Panthers and Division-III regional powerhouse Baruch.

 

The squad returns to action Wednesday night, when it travels to take on conference-foe NYU-Poly in Brooklyn at 8 p.m.
