THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Oct. 25, 2009) - The Maritime women's volleyball team lost a pair of conference matches at home on Saturday to Mount Saint Vincent and first-place NYU-Poly. With the losses, the Privateers fall to 3-16 overall (0-8 Skyline).

Freshman Lauren Johnson led the team with six kills and 20 digs on the day, while senior Marissa Danzy recorded four kills and a team-high four blocks in the two matches. Freshman Jerrica Romero registered nine assists to lead the Privateers.

The volleyball team returns to the court on Wednesday, Oct. 28, when the squad travels to Newburgh, N.Y. to take on Mount Saint Mary. First serve with the Blue Knights is scheduled for 7 p.m.
