THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Oct. 11, 2009) - The Maritime volleyball team lost two matches on Saturday at a Skyline Conference tri-match hosted by Old Westbury in Long Island. The Privateers fell to the hosts, the Panthers, 3-0, before losing to St. Joseph's by the same score. With the pair of losses, Maritime falls to 3-10 overall (0-5 Skyline), while the Panthers improve to 10-13 (2-4 Skyline) and the Golden Eagles move to 13-10 (5-1 Skyline).

The scores of the match against Old Westbury were 25-12, 25-7 and 25-11.

The scores of the match against St. Joseph's were 25-12, 25-7 and 25-15.

The Maritime volleyball team returns to the court on Tuesday, Oct. 13, when they play host to the other Panthers of the Skyline Conference, Purchase College. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Riesenberg Hall Gymnasium.
