James Ackley

James Ackley completed his first season as assistant women's volleyball coach in 2013, after serving as a volunteer coach during the 2013 non-traditional spring season.
 
Before joining Maritime, Ackley coached for LIVBC, a local youth club team, from 2011-Present.  In the 2013 club season, he coached his team to a second-place finish in their division at the Irish Rumble Tournament in Lancaster, Pa.  He also assisted the 2013 18-Blue Team to a third-place finish at the Capital Classic Tournament in Washington, D.C. In 2008, he was an assistant coach for the Boy’s Volleyball team at Shoreham-Wading River High School. That season marked the programs first trip to playoffs.
 
Ackley earned a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Programming and Information Systems from Farmingdale State College in 2013 and is currently USA Volleyball IMPACT certified and Gold Medal Squared trained.
