THROGGS NECK, NY – On Tuesday night, the Maritime College men's soccer team welcomed Farmingdale to Reinhart Field. It was a scoreless game until the 88
th minute, when Lucca Noboa netted the only goal of the contest to give the Rams (3-5-1, 1-1-0 Skyline) a 1-0 victory over the Privateers (2-4-0, 1-1-0 Skyline).
Maritime had several quality scoring chances in the first half, but Farmingdale goalkeeper Vas Dallas made four saves in the opening 45 minutes. After the Privateers earned three consecutive corner kicks,

Despite holding an 18-7 advantage in shots, including a 6-1 edge in shots on goal, Maritime was unable to get one by Dallas. The Rams then broke the scoreless draw in the 75
th minute. Javier Newman got past the defense down the left side and found Noboa in the middle of the box. He chested it home for his fifth goal of the year. That score would prove to be the difference, as Farmingdale came away with the 1-0 win.
Dallas (3-3-0) finished with six saves for the Rams.
Aidan Slovensky (Manorville, NY) (2-4-0) started in net for the Privateers and took the loss.
Up next for Maritime is a 7:30 p.m. matchup with Manhattanville (4-1-3, 1-0-0 Skyline) at Reinhart Field on Friday. The contest follows the women's game between the Privateers and Valiants at 5 p.m.
