KINGS POINT, NY – Nick Uzakewicz (Hauppauge, NY) set a single-game program record with eight assists, as the Maritime College men's lacrosse team jumped out to a 13-6 lead after three quarters at Merchant Marine on Saturday. The Privateers (5-7, 3-0 Skyline) then held off a furious fourth-quarter comeback by the Mariners (6-5, 2-1 Skyline) to hang on for a 13-11 victory at Brooks Stadium.
After Uzakewicz assisted on

The Mariners leveled the score at 4-4 early in the second quarter before

It stayed that way until William Badeer found the back of the net for Merchant Marine with 8:58 remaining. Kyle Hennelly scored 30 seconds later, and the Mariners rattled off three more unanswered tallies to get within 13-11 at the 2:04 mark.
