Privateers Announce 2025 Schedule

2025 Schedule

THROGGS NECK, NY –
The Maritime College football team has released its 2025 schedule.  The Privateers will play a 10-game slate in Head Coach Anthony Trotta's first season at the helm, starting with the annual Chowder Bowl at Mass Maritime on Sept. 5.

This marks the second straight year in which the Chowder Bowl is the season opener.  In 2024, Maritime notched a 22-14 victory at Reinhart Field for its third consecutive win over the Buccaneers.  Overall, the Privateers hold an 11-5 edge in the all-time series.

On Sept. 13, Maritime opens its home schedule by welcoming Anderson University from Indiana to Fort Schuyler for the first-ever meeting between the schools.  The Privateers then travel to Endicott on Sept. 20.  The Gulls are the defending Conference of New England Champions and won their first-round NCAA Tournament game last season.  As part of an agreement between the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) and CNE, Maritime will face at least one CNE opponent every season.

NEWMAC play begins with a visit to Salve Regina on Sept. 27 before the Privateers return home for a matchup with Coast Guard on Oct. 4.  Maritime's 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony is set for later that evening.  The Privateers make the short trip to Kings Point for their annual showdown with Merchant Marine on Oct. 11, then return to Reinhart Field for the annual homecoming celebration on Oct. 18.  All of the traditional pregame events will take place in the morning, while Norwich will be Maritime's opponent for the 2 p.m. contest.

After traveling to WPI on Oct. 25 (their eighth consecutive week with a game to start the season), the Privateers will enjoy a bye.  Maritime wraps up its home schedule against MIT on Nov. 9, then visits Springfield in the regular season finale on Nov. 16.  Last year, the Privateers and Pride met for the NEWMAC title, with Springfield winning to earn the conference's automatic NCAA Tournament bid.  Maritime received an invitation to the inaugural Fusion Bowl as the NEWMAC runner-up and defeated Husson in that game, 21-14, for its first-ever postseason victory.

All home and conference road games will once again be available exclusively on FloSports as a part of the NEWMAC's multi-year media rights agreement with the streaming service.  FloSports is available on the FloSports website and mobile app, as well as most smart TVs.  Fans can purchase monthly or annual subscription packages, with special discounted rates for students.
