THROGGS NECK, NY – The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has announced its 2024 Football Academic All-Conference Team.  Four members of the Maritime College football team were among the 172 student-athletes recognized for their work in the classroom.

To be eligible for the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team, student-athletes must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, be in at least their second academic year at their institution, and have spent the entire season on a varsity team roster.  Maritime's selections were junior Vinny Fundaro (Levittown, NY), sophomore Jaden Rotella (Mt. Sinai, NY), senior Kevin Walter (Rockaway, NJ) and senior Ryan Wells (Levittown, NY).  Both Fundaro and Walter added All-Academic honors to their All-NEWMAC selections.

In addition, senior Pat Quinn (Farmingdale, NY) was named to the 2024 NEWMAC Fall Sportsmanship Team.  The NEWMAC Sportsmanship Team recognizes one student-athlete from each team who has "distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior that go beyond the sport's playing rules and etiquette."  Honorees are chosen by their respective coaches.
