THROGGS NECK, NY – On Tuesday night, the Maritime College men's soccer team took on Manhattanville at Reinhart Field.  The Valiants (4-4-2, 3-0-1 Skyline) scored late in the first half, then added three more tallies over the final 45 minutes to earn a 4-0 victory over the Privateers (4-5-0, 1-4-0 Skyline).

Sean O'Neill (Highland Mills, NY) nearly gave Maritime the lead in the 38^th minute, but his free kick was saved by Manhattanville goalkeeper Luis Granados.  The Valiants then got on the board four minutes later, when David Rendon connected with Eli Pardo, who slipped one past Tim Nichols (West Seneca, NY) for the game's first goal.

Kendall Davis put home the rebound after Jackson Ayers had a shot hit the crossbar in the 57^th minute before Joseph Blanco made it 3-0 with his 61^st-minute goal.  Manhattanville then got a late score from Sebastian Testa to finish off the 4-0 win.

Manhattanville outshot Maritime 18-2 in the contest, and Nichols (4-5-0) was credited with three saves in the loss.  Granados (4-3-1) recorded his third shutout of the season for the Valiants.

The Privateers return to action on Saturday, when they visit Purchase (3-4-0, 0-3-0 Skyline) at 12 p.m.
