Throggs Neck, N.Y. - In the first two games of the 2018 season, the Maritime Privateers combined for 19 goals while holding its opponent scoreless. On August 31, the Privateers beat Webb Institute by a score of 14-0, and on September 1, Maritime defeated City College of New York by a score of 5-0. Wednesday night was the same story as the Privateers blanked York by a score of 9-0.
For the Privateers, it was all men on deck as a total of eight players reached net. The assemble of scorers was led by sophomore
Neil Dillon (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park) who connected twice. Dillon's two goals came within two minutes of each other to give Maritime a 3-0 and 4-0 lead. Dillon's goals were two of five for the Privateers in the first period. Other first period goals included scores by senior

Andrew Higgins (Franklin Square, N.Y./Carey) and sophomore

Aleks Olthoff-Cusumano (Eastport, N.Y./Eastport-South Manor) and freshman
Jack Dugan (Mount Sinai, N.Y./Mount Sinai), the Privateers secured the 9-0 victory. Along with nine goals, the Privateers generated five assists. The assists came from Forrest, who contributed to three goals on the night and sophomore
James Roland (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) who totaled two assists.
In goal, junior
Michael Rodriguez(Wappingers Falls, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) picked up his third win of the season. Rodriguez recorded one save on the night and through three games is yet to allow a goal.
Maritime continued its defensive excellence. The Maritime defense held York to only two shots on the night. The Privateers maintained control of the ball for seemingly the entirety of the matchup resulting in a 31-2 advantage in shots.
The 28 goals are the most the Privateers have scored through the first three games of a season inprogram history. On the season, 13 different players have scored. The 3-0 Privateers will look to continue its cavalcade of offense as they hit the field next on Saturday, September 8 against Maine Maritime.
