Also adding goals were senior

Neil Dillon (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park). Several additional Privateers also had assists including senior
Harry Colucci (Port Jefferson, N.Y./Earl L. Vandenmeulen), junior
Lucas Antenucci (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem), sophomores
Nicholas Ciacca (Bologna, Italy/Pelham Memorial (N.Y.)) and
Michael Rodriguez (Wappingers Falls, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham), as well as freshmen
Phil Hetzer (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Connetquot) and
Jake Palmer (Seaford, N.Y./Seaford).
Rodriguez also pitched a shutout through the opening 71 minutes in goal as he was forced to make two saves through the majority of the game. Junior
Nick Schall (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) came on to play the final 19 minutes in goal and did not see a shot on target.
After the opening 36 minutes of the game were silent for both sides, the Privateers got on the board with Sblendorio notching his first of the game on an assist from Cartano. Gallt added a goal less than two minutes later off passes from Sblendorio and Palmer. Sblendorio notched his second of the game off a pass from Gallt in the final minute of the half after Gallt's free kick deflected off a defender allowing Sblendorio to finish the possession.
As play progressed to the second half with Maritime well in control the Privateers were awarded a goal kick which Rodriguez sent down the length of the field to Gallt, who then found Palazzolo to make the score 4-0 in the 51st minute. Palazzolo scored again off a brilliant look from Colucci, who drove the ball to the goal line and crossed into the box to increase Maritime's lead to five.
Dillon scored next, followed by goals from Sheriffe, Olthoff-Cusumano, and Cartano as the four all scored their first goals of the season to give Maritime a 9-0 lead with over 23 minutes remaining in regulation. In the closing six minutes of the half Antenucci and Sheriffe found D'Ancona, who made the score 10-0 before Sblendorio finished off the hat trick with his third goal of the game with just 35 seconds left in regulation.
With his three goals, Sblendorio ties for third on the single-game goals list, while also taking sole possession of third place on the single-game points list. The 11 goals by the Privateers also sets a new modern-program record, which was previously set at 10 back in 2015, when the Privateers knocked off the Medgar Evers Cougars.
Maritime dominated in all statistical categories with 40 total shots and 22 shots on goal. The Privateers also held a 12-2 advantage in corner kicks through the full 90 minutes of play.
Maritime (2-0) will look to extend its winning streak on Wednesday evening, when the team plays host to the John Jay Bloodhounds for a 7:30 p.m. start on Reinhart Field.
