THROGGS NECK, N.Y. - The Maritime rugby team edgeds out Vassar College by the score of 20-19 on Reinhart Field this past Sunday.
Vassar jumped out to a 14-0 lead, and led for most of the first half.

Andrew McHugh (Ravena, N.Y.) led by example and broke eight tackles and ran in a 60-meter dodge and dash for the first Maritime try of the contest.
In the second half, Vassar scored again, transitioning penalty yardage in to great field position for their third try.
Not giving up and continuing to pressure Maritime won more ball and pushed three more tries to win the match.
Maritime (2-0) hosts Hartwick College this Sunday afternoon on Reinhart Field, looking to go 3-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 season.
