OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – The Maritime men's soccer team shut out the Old Westbury Panthers 1-0 in route to their fifth Skyline victory and their 11th overall as they improve to 11-3-1 on the year. Junior
Parker Gallt (Las Vegas, Nev./Plainfield South (Ill.)) scored the game-winning goal in the 79th minute on Saturday afternoon at Panther Park.
For Gallt that was his third game-winning goal and now has 15 on the year to lead the Privateers. Sophomore
Justin Forrest (Lusby, Md./Patuxent) got his fourth assist on the year with his throw in to Gallt in the 79th minute.
Gallt led the Privateers with three shots on goal while freshman
Anthony Palazzolo (Huntington Station, N.Y./Walt Whitman) and sophomore
Anthony Sblendorio (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) each had one shot on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper
Michael Rodriguez (Wappingers Falls, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) recorded his fourth shutout on the season and had three saves in the match.
It was a strong defensive team effort that made it tough on Old Westbury. Forrest along with juniors

Lucas Antenucci (Delmar, N.Y./Bethlehem),
Joe Merendino (Pawling, N.Y./Pawling), and freshman
Jerome Eastwood (Houston, Texas/Stratford).
Overall for the match, Old Westbury won the shot battle 13-9 while Maritime lead 5-3 in shots on goal. Old Westbury won the corner kick battle 4-3.
Maritime (11-3-1, 5-2-0 Skyline) will be back in action on Tuesday, October 17th when the team visits Purchase in a Skyline matchup beginning at 6 p.m.
Old Westbury (6-4-3, 2-2-1 Skyline) will play Tuesday, October 17th when they visit Sarah Lawrence starting at 6 p.m.
