Maritime has 13 Student-Athletes Named to Skyline Academic Honor Roll for Fall 2015 Season

NEW YORK, N.Y. – On Friday morning, the Skyline Conference announced its Fall 2015 Academic Honor Roll with 13 Maritime student-athletes selected to the league-wide listing.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have a 3.30 grade point average or better while competing for men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country and women's volleyball. This season a total of 447 Skyline student-athletes were named to the Academic Honor Roll for the Fall of 2015.
 
 "The Skyline Conference student-athletes continue to exemplify development and dedication to their studies and their sports," said Skyline Conference Commissioner Linda Bruno. "I am proud to recognize these bright young men and women, whose academic performance is a shining example and in line with the NCAA Division III Philosophy Statement."

All five of Maritime's fall Skyline Conference teams were represented on the listing with several individuals named to the Skyline Honor Roll for multiple times in their respective careers.
 
Senior Caroline Reynolds (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) of the Women's Soccer team made it a clean sweep for her career, achieving the honor for all four of her seasons with the program.
 
Earning their second career selections to the Academic Honor Roll were senior Jon Dubowyk (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield) of Men's Soccer along with junior John Nothacker (Philadelphia, Pa./Homeschooled) and sophomore teammate Brett Reilly (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa). Sophomore Andrea Mitchell (Pine Bush, N.Y./Pine Brush) of the Women's Cross Country team also achieved the honor for the second straight season. Senior Colleen Sheehy (Levittown, N.Y./Island Trees) of the volleyball team also received her second career Academic Honor Roll mention, after earning the distinction as a freshman back in 2012.
