NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – In what was a tightly contested match at the 60-minute mark, Maritime Rugby succumbed to penalties. The final score saw top-seeded New Paltz Hawks defeat the fourth-seeded Maritime Privateers, 43-17.Â

The defensive effort of Maritime was commendable, but the offensive backs were unable to establish a continuity of offense.

Owen Serbent (Killingworth, Conn.) scored tries as senior
Ethan Cannon (Hartford, Conn.) converted the conversion.

Bob Wolf commented, "This was a great season considering it was Maritime's first Rugby season in three years."
