THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Nov. 10, 2012) – The Maritime rugby team will be taking part in the Empire Rugby Football Union, Downstate Division Playoffs this Sunday, Nov. 11. The Privateer ruggers earned #3 seed in the four-team division and will take on #2-seeded Bard College.
 
        All games of the playoffs will take place at St. Clare's Pocono Road Field in Denville, N.J. Maritime will take on the Raptors in the second game of the day at 11:30 a.m. The first game will be between #1 seed Montclair St. and #4 Drew at 10 a.m. The two winners will play in the championship game at 2:30 p.m., while the losers will play in the consolation game at 1 p.m.
 
        The winner of the Downstate Divisional Championship will move on to face the runner-up of the Eastern Pennsylvania Division in the National Small College Rugby Organization Playoffs next Saturday, Nov. 17, in Cherry Hill, N.J.
