THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (April 13, 2011) – The Maritime men's lacrosse team will travel to Farmingdale, N.Y., for its final Skyline Conference game against the first place Rams from Farmingdale State College. The game is set to start at 1 p.m. The Privateers have a chance to clinch a home playoff game in the Skyline Tournament with a victory.
Inside The Series
In their previous five meetings, the Rams hold a slight edge over the Privateers, as they have come out with the win in three of them. The last time these squads met was in the 2010 season, when the contest marked the opening of Skyline competition for Maritime on March 31. On that occasion, Farmingdale State took the win from Reinhart Field, as they defeated the Privateers, 16-14. Then-junior Alexander Korb (Islip, N.Y./Islip) (Islip, N.Y./Islip) recorded seven points on four goals and three assists.
