THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Feb. 26, 2011) – The men's lacrosse team prepares to take the field for the first time when they play host to Lycoming College at Reinhart Field. Faceoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Head coach Daniel Lawrence leads the squad for his second season, as the team returns 24 players and looks to improve on its 5-10 record and Skyline Tournament appearance in 2010.

Inside The Series

These teams met once during the 2010 season at Williamsport, Pa. The Warriors took advantage of playing at home and defeated the Privateers, 14-4, on Feb. 27, 2010. For the past three seasons the team that has hosted the contest has taken the win. On Mar. 15, 2008, Lycoming won at home 11-9 and Maritime came out on top, 18-12, when both teams met at the Reinhart Field on Feb. 28, 2009. This will be the third straight season that the Privateers open their season against Lycoming.
