THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Sept. 30, 2009) – The Maritime varsity ruggers defeated Kings Point, 5-0, in a 20-minute scrimmage last night on Reinhardt Field. Intensity that may have been lacking in Sunday's match against Molloy was evident last evening during the 20 minutes of solid tackling and passing. There was no let up on either side. Kings Point carried the JV side games 7-0 and 12-0.

 

The rugby team returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 4, when the squad takes on Wagner in its final home contest of the fall schedule. Action gets underway at 1 p.m. at Reinhart Field.
