CAMDEN, N.J. (Oct. 26, 2009) – The Maritime rugby team fell to Rutgers-Camden, 38-18, on Sunday in Met-N.Y. conference action. With the loss, the Privateers fall to 4-3 on the season, while Rutgers improves to 6-1.
The Maritime forwards played an exceptional strong forward game. Playing without second row Pat Walsh and wing forward James Salka (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville), the Privateers still did themselves proud in the rucks and mauls. Rutgers overwhelming size and agility took its toll, however.
Maritime rugby plays its last regular season game away at William Patterson on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m.
