            BRONX, N.Y. (Oct. 2, 2009) – The Maritime volleyball team lost to Lehman College, 3-1, Thursday night at the Lightning's APEX Center. With the loss, the Privateers fall to 3-6 overall, while Lehman improves to 4-5.

 

            Sophomore Natalie Jackson (Stockton, Calif./Bear Creek) fell just shy of a triple-double with 13 assists, 11 digs and nine kills with a .529 hitting percentage, while freshman Lauren Johnson (Lansing, Mich./Holt) recorded a match-high 14 digs and junior Natalie Warren (Peachtree City, Ga./Homeschooled) and freshman Jerrica Romero (Bronx, N.Y./Herbert H Lehman) registered 10 digs apiece.

 

            The Maritime volleyball team returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 4, when the squad plays host to Sarah Lawrence and Bard at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively, at Riesenberg Gymnasium.
