Maritime freshman right handed pitcher Travis Bruinsma was named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

This week, Bruinsma pitched a complete game for the Privateers in the team's 7-1 win over the Staten Island Dolphins on Sunday afternoon. In the effort, the right-hander needed 106 pitches to get through the Dolphins in seven innings as he scatted six hits and struck out four batters while allowing one earned run.
 
On the season Bruinsma is 3-0 with a 1.20 earned run average, he has allowed just two earned runs in 15 innings on the hill while scattering just 10 hits over his three career outings. He is second on the team with 10 strikeouts and is holding batters to a .213 batting average against in 47 at bats.
