Maritime College Athletics

Senior Allison Lashmet was named Maritime's 2014 Female Athlete of the Year.

Lashmet was a three-year member of the rifle team at Maritime in her three seasons, she continuously ranked first or second on the squad at every meet. She was named to the Mid-Atlantic Rifle Conference All-Rookie Team in 2011-12 after helping Maritime finish second in the conference with the top score in the Air Gun Sharpshooter title match. In her second year, she helped lead Maritime to a Marksman Division Title in small bore at the MAC Championships with the team's top score.
 
Before this past 2013-14 season started, she was named the captain of the squad. She set a new program record for a female shooter and was the team's first shooter since 2009 to score a 570 in an air gun match. She again led Maritime to a division title at the MAC Championships, this time in small bore sharpshooter division.
